Course Description:

College Readiness presents the content appropriate for a middle school student to evaluate their own interest and to become familiar with the different Career Clusters that exist.  This class helps students research careers, explore the workplace competencies necessary for success, set goals, and begin to understand how the workplace is rapidly changing. College Readiness is designed to help students of all ability levels learn more about themselves, their interests and skills as they research higher education and available jobs and careers. Students will be actively involved in teamwork projects to solve problems, engaged in building their own personal career information portfolios, all the while involved in classroom discussions and applying communication and reading skills.
