DESCRIPTION

Throughout the course of our Academic Year, students are taught strategies in the first semester to implement and be ready for our second semester.

1^st six weeks of Fiction

2^nd six weeks Elements of Poetry

3^rd six weeks Non-Fiction & Figurative Language

4^th six weeks Persuasive/Expository Text

5^{th six weeks}     Elements of Traditional/ Novel/Classical

6^{th six weeks}     Novel Unit

Class Grading

    Averaging Grades:            Daily Grades 50% and Test 50%

   1st Semester Calculations: 1st  Six Weeks 25%, 2nd  Six Weeks 25%, 3rd  Six Weeks 25%,  Mid-Term Semester Exam 25%

   2st Semester Calculations: 4th  Six Weeks 25%, 5th  Six Weeks 25%, 6th Six Weeks 25%,  Final Semester Exam 25%

    Final Grade: 1st Semester 50% and 2nd Semester 50%
