Ms. Patricia Aguero’s sixth-grade students were having fun investigating and competing on who can make the biggest bubbles. Using the Scientific Method and a variety of substances, Ms. Aguero’s students were determining if adding another substance to the soap solution will produce bigger bubbles. In addition, Ms. Aguero’s students had to identify the three different types of variables—the control variable (a variable that does not change, which is the soap solution), the dependent variable (the variable being tested and measured, in this case, the bubbles), and the independent variable (a variable that causes the change in the bubble solution, such as the substance being added. The students recorded their findings but not without popping so many bubbles!
Meanwhile, Ms. Blanca Rendon’s 6th Grade Science class also conducted their own bubble experiments. These students are applying their expertise into their experiments. Awesome work Jaguars for conducting your own field experiments!
